Zoey | Colorado Family Lifestyle Photographer

       When Zoey’s mom called and asked me to capture some pictures for daughter’s six month milestone, I couldn’t believe that much time had already passed! Aside from taking her newborn photos, I had also taken her older sister’s newborn, six month, and one year smash cake session as well. We used some of mom and dad’s favorite pictures from her big sister’s previous sessions for reference, recreated a couple of them, then created some beautiful original ones around their lovely home. One of my favorite baby shots EVER was with Zoey’s older sister, Olivia, and it’s one that I will always treasure; it’s a picture of Olivia sitting naked in their hallway, and I love her face, the hardwood floors, and the shadow and light is perfect. That was a fun one to recreate again! Olivia was always more of the serious, shy type of child. Zoey, however, is always smiling and in no way afraid of my camera. I love the fact that you can see each child and their personality shine through an image. I know that this is something mom and dad will cherish forever.

          To be a part of a family’s life, to watch them grow both together as individual people and together as a family, and to capture these lifetime moments for them is the reason I’m beyond obsessed with what I do for a living. I’m so behind on blogging that it’s already time for Zoey’s one year pictures and I can’t wait to see what beautiful and timeless memories we will capture then. Who knows, maybe these will be images that Olivia and Zoey will recreate from their mother when they are older! Just imagine; 24 years old, in a tutu, with a mirror reflection….hahaha! As long as they don’t recreate the naked ones! wink emoticon Thank you G family for allowing me the honor to watch your beautiful family grow!!
