Darlene and Randy | Lone Tree Golf Course Wedding

                 I first met this incredible couple when they contacted me to do a couples session for them this past summer. The day we met up, the sun was blazing, it was sweltering, plus we had to do a fair amount of hiking to move from shot to shot. As we started talking and getting to know each other, Darlene was telling me how they’d never had professional pictures of them as a couple, then she told me that her boyfriend, Randy, had been cancer free for 4 years until May 22nd; he’d started chemo just 5 days before our session. It was remarkable that despite the heat and hiking, Randy was a pillar of patience, persistence, and tenacity.

           Several weeks following that session, I received a message; Randy proposed to Darlene and was asking if I would capture their wedding! Their wedding day was perfect, I was amazing at how everything turned out for what little time they had to plan it. I love when couples like to do their Bridal portraits before the wedding, it’s so relaxed, and it gives them so much more time to spend with their guests, and makes the day a little less stressful and seem a little less rushed and hectic! We hopped on a golf cart and drove around to find the ideal locations to shoot at. Shooting those photos was so much fun, Darlene even wanted a shot of her doing a “Runaway Bride” in the golf cart. During their ceremony, you could see and feel the love and emotion they have for one another. Witnessing a couple that is truly perfect for each other make a lifetime commitment is an extraordinary experience. May each day you spend together in your new life together hold blessings, surprises, gifts, and of course, love and compassion–Congratulations, Darlene & Randy!
