The day after Thanksgiving, I had the honor of shooting some capturing some memories for this beautiful extended family. I think the best part about the session — or at least my favorite part — was that there was snow on the ground, and that their property was the perfect setting. While I completely understand why some photographers refuse to work holidays, I also completely understand that sometimes it’s the only time that you can get all the members of your family together. One of the biggest reasons that I take pictures professionally is because I know how important it is to get pictures of these moments when the entire family is together, and for that reason, I’m happy to spend part of my holiday with another family to help them do that. Melissa and her family were a delight to work with; they braved the cold without complaint to make sure that we secured some photographs that will last a lifetime. I loved working with them then, and I would love to work with them again in the future!
